Aerobics We have been mixing things up in our cardio classes and have been having a lot of fun! Variety not only keeps exercise from being boring but it also has the effect of tricking your body into working harder because it is not the same old activity. On Mondays at 8:30, we do a 45 minute routine that incorporates the step or the bosu with kickboxing moves and blasts of boot camp intervals. On Wednesday, we strength train upper body and core from 8:30 to 9:00 and then do a lower body cardio routine from 9:00 to 9:30. Participants are welcome to come for the full hour or jut one of the 30 minute sections. On Fridays at 8:15, we complete a 45 minute interval circuit that combines light weights and ball work with blast of fairly intense cardio bursts. It is a lot of fun and a great workout! Come join us! Remember, any successful training program will incorporate a calorie reduced diet to lose body fat, cardiovascular exercise to burn calories and strength training for entire body to stimulate the metabolism and tighten your muscles
Hope to See You in the Aerobics room!

A Note From the Personal Trainer
Those of you who know me know that I have always wanted everyone to drink plenty of water. Here are a few reasons why water is so important: - Even MILD dehydration will slow your metabolism down as much as 3%
- Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
- One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of dieters studied in a U-Washington study.
- Any more than a 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short term memory, trouble with basic math skills, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or printed page.
- 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (This likely applies to half the world's population).
- In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak it is often mistaken for hunger.
- Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
- Drinking 5 glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, the risk of breast cancer by 79% and the risk of bladder cancer by 50%.
As you can see, it is very important to drink water, especially our children. With summer activities upon us, I thought it was important to share the facts.
